Pytronic is a smart home ecosystem built around the proprietary Homecore Hub designed for energy optimization, advanced automation, and with support for multiple IoT protocols.
I collaborated with the team to architect the mobile experience from the ground up, focusing on technical feasibility and long-term scalability.
The Challenge
The project required a design system capable of handling complex IoT constraints:
• Managing varying device latencies and real-time feedback.
• Visualizing complex energy consumption metrics.
• Implementing deep automation features for power users.
• Supporting multiple protocols (Zigbee, Z-Wave, Matter) for seamless integration.
The goal was a lightweight UI that could handle deep technical configuration. I designed and prototyped the complete mobile interface, including onboarding, a centralized dashboard, and a custom automation builder.

Inclusive Architecture
A core focus was accessibility-first design. I specifically optimized the application for visually impaired users, implementing high-contrast navigation patterns and a screen-reader compatible architecture to ensure the smart home was usable by everyone.
Hardware-Ready Systems
I created responsive UI patterns adaptable to diverse third-party devices. By balancing usability with technical feasibility, I provided Pytronic with a comprehensive design system that ensured a smooth development process from MVP to launch.
